The Blossom Method

Our therapists implement a combination of evidence-based approaches when working with you and your child. To maximize your child’s potential and progress, our team of therapists here at our Michigan Center, implements:

Early Start Denver Model (ESDM):
An effective form of behavioral therapy that utilizes methods of play, natural routines, and individualized activities. ESDM focusses on working with you and your child to build relationships, strengthen cognitive skills, and communication skills.
Pivotal Response Training (PRT):
PRT is an approach that targets your child’s “pivotal” developmental areas. Social interactions, self-management, and motivation are focus areas critical to promoting improvements across the areas of communication, academic skills, behavior, and social interaction.
Direction Instruction (DI):
An effective teacher-directed approach using curriculum and teaching methods proven to be successful when used with children with autism spectrum disorder. Areas of focus include social engagement, attention, language, and the development of academic skills.
