A: Blossom believes in an individualized approach to therapy. Therefore, a child’s therapy services will vary based on the needs of the family, the child and the assessment results completed by the clinician. Therapy hours can vary based on the services requested. ABA therapy hours can range from 15-40 hours per week, OT and SLP can range from 1- 3 sessions per week, varying from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
A: Yes! We encourage parent involvement in all therapies at Blossom. Parents are welcome to attend in-person therapy sessions for OT and SLP. If your child attends ABA therapy, there will be ongoing communication with your child’s BCBA. Parents can also observe sessions via video or in person, as needed.
A: The frequency of written progress reports will vary based on the therapy services your child receives. If your child attends ABA therapy, they will receive a written progress report (or treatment plan) every 6 months. If your child attends SLP or OT, they will receive a written progress report every 2 months. These progress reports will allow you to review your child’s goals and progress since starting therapy.
A: Waitlists can vary for each location. The best way to speed up the process is to ensure all documentation and forms are submitted in a timely manner, when requested by the Intake Coordinator.
A: A child’s need for therapy is based on many factors and is highly individualized. Unfortunately, there is no “one size fits all” treatment plan. Blossom’s goal is to provide effective therapy, to help a child reach their goals and transition to the next steps on their journey through life, whether that be daycare, school or otherwise.
A: Blossom uses an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system called CentralReach. Information regarding your child’s therapy can be found there or by reaching out directly to your child’s clinician.
